Donation protected
“Angry Girls” is a short film written by Stephanie Mann and directed by Liz Meinders. It follows three friends seeking revenge as they embark on a half-baked plan involving a whole lot of luck and some chloroform.
Within the girls antics holds an important story about the ongoing trauma of sexual assault and how it’s never too late to start the healing journey.
About the Writer
Hi, I’m Stephanie! I’m a young writer and actor from Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. I am a long way from home studying in Los Angeles at the American Arts Film & Television Academy. After graduating from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama, I turned my attention from theater to screen and completed the Screen Acting Studio at NIDA. Despite a few setbacks with mental health, I am now more passionate than ever to make acting and writing my full time career. The first terrifying yet exciting step in an amazing creative journey that I'd like to share with you all. I aim to give a voice to the downtrodden and forgotten, the LGBTQIA+ community and women. As a survivor of sexual assault myself, I believe it is important to have these conversations even if they are hard to talk about. That the pain doesn’t end after the assault. Which is why I am an Angry Girl and I will not be silenced any longer. I am calling upon all angry girls, boys and people to join the Angry Girl Army so that survivors can find their power in speaking out.
