Hi everyone! My name is Angie and I am currently completing my Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I have been provided with the incredible opportunity to study abroad this May to understand global perspectives in healthcare and communication in Costa Rica. This experience will allow me to learn directly from international healthcare practioners to expand my clinical skills as a future occupational therapist. My dream has always been to further my education and take what I have learned to serve the Rio Grande Valley community. I am passionate about improving the quality of healthcare in my community and want to use this opportunity to strengthen my practice. While I have worked hard to save money, and received financial aid, I still need help to cover the remaining expenses including program fees, tuition, airfare, and travel costs before my upcoming payment deadline.

This will be my first time traveling internationally, and this opportunity is more than just a trip. This opportunity is an investment in the RGV community. Every donation, share, and support helps bring me closer to this life changing experience.
