Family, Friends, and others,
On Monday at work my mother, Angie, had a stroke. Her coworkers immediately called and got help there and she was rushed to RWMC. Shortly after being there they decided to transfer her to Denver by jet to get to a specialist. This jet got her to Denver in just fifteen minutes. She had surgery upon arrival which went well. My family rushed to get to Denver and made the several hour drive in our van. Upon getting here my dad Tim saw her and stayed at the hospital with her. During this time she had very little to no mobility of her right side. She was also unable to speak and could barely move her eyes around. I, her son, live out of town and had to catch the first available flight to Denver. I arrived at 4 a.m and was picked up. I didn't see my mom till several hours later. When I did see her she was in and out due to the medication but when she saw me and I spoke to her she smiled as big as she could and grabbed my hand. She was so extremely excited to see me and I've never been more happy to see her and that smile. The rest of that day was tests and just waiting while she rested. My family found a hotel and we all waited and rested there while my dad was at her side. Wednesday morning was when things took a turn for the worse. She had a seizure early morning and had to be resuscitated. It was scary but she pulled through. However later Wednesday we got the results of an MRI scan and found out she is on the way to having very little brain function if any at all. We made a tough family decision to take her off of the ventilator. She is putting up a tough fight currently. The doctors have done about all they can and we are keeping her comfortable for the time being. However, now my family and I are in need of help and so I'm starting a GoFundMe to help my family through this. My mom and dad are always one to help anyone they can and this is a chance I can really help them. From medical bills to a hotel room, the financial toll is already hitting my family hard. So with that said please any help is welcomed from anyone and everyone and please all the love and support is welcomed too.
