Angie’s Advanced Parole

A year ago, my mom was diagnosed with stage four metastatic ovarian cancer. About three months ago, her brother, my uncle was abruptly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is now dying in hospice.

As an undocumented immigrant, I’ve grieved the loss of my grandparents, separation from my father over the last 30 years from across the ocean.  However, this time, I would like to be at the bedside of my love ones. I WILL be there for the ones I love and I will not let my status dictate who or when I say goodbye to.

I am raising this fund for an advance parole which will allow me an emergency travel visa to South Korea and to say a proper goodbye to my beloved uncle. The cost of travel and parole fees come at a sudden cost as he is running out of time. With this goal and all my savings, my mother and I will be able to travel to South Korea, afford housing, transportation, and meals for two weeks.
