My name is Angie Swan, and for more than 20 years I’ve had the privilege of making a living as a professional guitarist and entertainer. I’ve performed on Broadway in David Byrne’s American Utopia, toured with MJ The Musical, performed with Cirque du Soleil’s Amaluna, played Kylie Minogue’s Las Vegas residency, and worked alongside incredible artists including Billy Porter, Adam Lambert, En Vogue, and many others. My work has taken me from concert stages to Broadway, television, film, touring productions, and Las Vegas. I’m incredibly grateful for the career I’ve built, but after spending so many years helping bring other artists’ visions to life, I’m ready to tell my own story.

I’m creating an original music, comedy, and educational project that brings together the different sides of who I am as an artist. Through music, humor, storytelling, and collaborations with artists and creatives I’ve had the opportunity to work with throughout my career, I want to share the real, funny, challenging, and inspiring experiences that come with pursuing a life in the entertainment industry. But this project is about more than entertainment. A major part of my vision is to educate and empower young female creatives — especially those who are trying to find their voice, navigate the entertainment industry, build confidence, and create careers on their own terms. I want to show them that there is a place for them in this industry and that their unique stories, talents, and perspectives are valuable.

I’m relaunching this campaign with a goal of $10,000, which will go directly toward bringing this project to life at a professional level. The funds will help cover professional live studio room bookings, recording and production costs, mixing and mastering, and promotional materials so that I can create and share the project with the quality it deserves. Every contribution will help me take another step toward creating something that is authentically mine — while hopefully inspiring the next generation of women to pursue their creativity fearlessly.
