Angela's story.

Angela - our Angel.
As many of you are aware - Angie has passed and gained some beautiful angel wings. Angie lost her battle to pneumonia on 17th of February. As you can imagine - this has left a huge hole in everyone's hearts.
Here's a little bit of Angela's back story:
Angie has battled illness most of her life. When she was born - she had a condition called cerebral hypoxia which decreases the oxygen supply to the brain. The led to Angie being special needs. From that point - at around 18, she started to have epileptic seizures. As you can imagine - this was really tough for Angie to battle. At the age of around 42, Angies epilepsy put her into what is called ‘status’ which means that she constantly had seizures for hours on end until she was finally put into an induced coma.
Angie didn’t wake up from this coma for 6 weeks, and when she did, she’d lost all of her ability to walk and talk.
Toni did 2 years of intensive physiotherapy with her to try to get her walking again, until the specialists sat her down and told her it wouldn’t be possible.
Her epilepsy became more and more severe and with her health deteriorating, she became more and more prone to chest infections and pneumonia.
Although she had many life threatening hospital stays where she had pneumonia, liver failure, heart failure, kidney failure on numerous occasions and on many of these, the family were told to prepare for the worst. Yet Angie pulled through, over and over again. She was a true fighter and inspiration to all around her.
Toni has shielded both Angela & her Mother throughout the whole pandemic. But not just through the pandemic - through life. She has never faltered once.
Not many people realise that this was Tonis full time job caring for Angie. I cannot stress enough - Toni is now without a job.
Not only that - she's without a job in a pandemic.
Toni has attended online courses and physical courses where possible for her to qualify in waxing & beauty. But with the beauty industry still in limbo due to goverment lockdowns it's made it extremely difficult. This just goes to show how much grit & determination Toni has to keep her family above water. Throughout looking after Ange and her Mother - she has had several jobs including hairdressing and modelling. It comes as a double edge sword - because even though she has recently qualified in beauty... She can't return to work as she has to care for her Mother full time.
May we add also - whilst juggling all of this, she is supporting her 3 daughters. She is guiding 2 of her daughters through homeschooling and supporting her eldest through her new business adventure.
Toni is a true grafter. We can't express this enough.
Since losing Ange a few days days ago - Toni and her family are now down by a lot of money. Unfortunately Toni isn't eligible for certain benefits. They even have to return the disability car - which is a massive inconvenience since Toni also used that to take her Mother to all her medical appointments.
We all know the system could do with a shake up. But with bills mounting up already, food shops etc... They are barely going to break even.
Toni has never relied on the system once. She has done everything on her own. Toni has never had a day off in her life - she & her family have cared for Ange from the beginning. She's never even had a day off even through her maternitys. It just goes to show how strong and commited she is to her family.
Here's a bit about Toni which really sums up the person she is:
Toni has aided so many charities raising so much money and awareness. Here's a little back story to her selfless loving ways:
- Trekking For Charity. Toni was instrumental in setting this up, alongside her friend Richard and many others she helped raise over £40,000 and helped over 200 fundraisers...
This leads on to funeral arrangements. Angies funeral was never paid off due to Power of Attorney fee's. The family was never in a financial position to pay it off. And because Angie was non verbal - it was also a reason she could never sign anything over.
On to the fundraiser - please let's help take away the worry & give this beautiful family the tools to help with this transition.
I will finish this by saying - what ever donation - we can't thank you enough from the bottom of our hearts. Toni and her family are truly something special and they really do deserve this.
Ange would be so proud of you Toni.
All our love,
Sarah & Shane
Hi everyone. We are raising money for Toni & her beautiful family, this is not for a specific charity. All proceeds will be going to this family in need. Please find it in your heart to donate - and if you can't - please share. We are urging you all to read this beautiful story of this equally beautiful family.

- Hereditary Breast Cancer. Founded by Wendy Watson and Becky Measures. Toni has been apart of the hereditary breast cancer helpline fundraising team and helped raise thousands for this wonderful charity.. She has worked purely voluntary for the past 8 plus years, giving her time, her love and her compassion. She has travelled miles across the country to help at events, be it hairdressing at festivals, gathering prizes, even stripping off for bikini car washes.
