On February 12th, my close friend lost her job. Six days later, she broke her leg in a very, very bad way. She fractured both her tibia and fibula, injured her ankle joint, and the bone broke through the skin. It was a very serious, life-threatening situation. She has been in a trauma hospital to address the severity and set the leg to begin healing, moved to an assisted living facility while waiting for swelling to go down in order to have surgery to add hardware, back to the hospital for said surgery, and now to a rehab center.

Through all of this, she has remained very positive, applying for any kind of remote work she can do while laid up to bring back more income in the loss of her pay they were accustomed to. Her company insurance ended February 28th. She had to pick up the expensive COBRA plan due to circumstances.

Her husband has been nothing short of amazing. He is taking on extra work where he can with his job to help compensate for her lost wages and these new additional, larger-than-smaller expenses. He has been by her side every night, visiting the hospital, bringing treats to lift her spirits, and even bringing their dogs to visit at the rehab facility. He has truly moved heaven and earth to keep the situation positive and ensure she receives the best care possible.

Andrew and Angie are a very hardworking, kind, considerate, generous, and loving couple. Tears weep down my cheeks just trying to describe the situation, as they are that breathtaking. My husband and I have been helping as much as we can. Any financial support, a simple gesture of kindness, would be extremely helpful during their challenging time.
