Angie McGowen Cancer Fund

In 2012 Angie had surgery to remove one side of her thyroid. At the time the doctors told her that biopsies indicated that she did not have cancer. 

In 2018 Angie had to go back to the doctor due to a lump on the same side where her thyroid was removed. At that time the doctors discovered that she did have cancer that they missed in 2012. 

Since then Angie has been battling a rare form of thyroid cancer. Both of her thyroids have been removed, but due to the length of time it took for cancer to be discovered she now has cancerous tumor markers indicating that there is cancer in her body, but doctors have not been able to figure out where the cancer is at. 

She has gone through 2 partial rounds of radiation, and 2 full rounds of radiation and doctors have still not been able to figure out where the cancer has spread too. 

In 2019 Angie started making regular trips to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to see if they could help. After repeated trips there she still has no answers. 

It has now been recommended that she move her care to MD Anderson in Houston Texas because this facility has several doctors that specialize in treating the kind of cancer she has.  

Unfortunatly all of this medical care has cost a great deal of time and financial resources, and Mike and Angie need some financial help, to be able to go to Texas. 

This treatment is exceedingly important for Angie. There is cancer in her body, and doctors need to figure out where it is so they can treat it.
