Angie Mcdonald relief fund

This has been my family's home since 1971. I was raised here. 5 years ago, I moved back in to help care for my mother who is 89 after she fell and broke her hip. 3 months ago she fell again and has been rehabilitating at Clearview Nursing Home in Mt Ayr, IA . We hoped she would be able to return home again. Now she has no home to return to! I thank God that she was in Clearview, had she been home she would not be alive today. I was mowing in the yard and returned to the house to get a drink. I saw smoke coming out the front windows. I tried to get in the house but the smoke was so thick and black I could not. One of the cats was in the doorway trying to get out. I grabbed him and called 911. He died in my arms as we waited for the fire department. The other cat never made it out of the house. The fire spread so quickly! The front windows blew out and flames rose 15 feet in the air. The house is a total loss. Everything is gone. The firemen doused my car and saved it from burning (keys were in the house) but I escaped with only what I was wearing. I dropped my cell phone after calling 911 and it was destroyed. I am heartbroken about my fur babies! Anything no matter how small willl be appreciated! Thank you for your kindness!
