Angie Helmer, We will help you through this!

I have started this campaign for a friend, coworker and an amazing person named Angie Helmer. She has been dealt several difficult health situations in the 5 years I have known her. Recently being one of the hardest. Angie has recently found out that she has a tumor in one of her lungs. Extremely scary thing for anyone to hear. She continues to put on a brave face for her family but I am sure the unknown is difficult to process. Many people know Angie from Eagle View elementary where she works as a para. She is hard working, a loving mother of 2 boys,  a wife and would do anything for them. The plan so far is as follows: next Fri 8/23 she will be having surgery to remove a portion of her right lung..They are not sure just how much will be removed until they are in surgery. Angie has said there will be a
Pathologist in the OR that will check the mass and if needed the surgeon will go back and remove lymph nodes. So far they are  looking at a diagnosis of 1 of 2 things: lung cancer or a mass of mast cells. Both of which will require some form of further treatment. They are not sure how long she will have to stay at Mayo yet, depending on her recovery and treatment needed. This means several weeks of missed work for her and her husband. The reason I have set this fund up is because no one going through this should have to worry about financial things. Let’s help Angie and her family focus on recovery and beating this! Hopefully this can relieve some stress. We want them all be able to be there for her! We appreciate anything! Nothing is too small!
