Angel Swing in Ballard and JPS Fund

For my 8th grade service project I am working with the Town of Ridgefield and Walpole Outdoors to create a memorial in Ballard Park to honor all the youth lives that have been lost. I noticed that there are several benches in town for adults who have passed away but nothing for all of the children. Since I've been in middle school 2 students in my school passed away. One of them was my friend, Justin Cowen. In the past few years our small town has had many children die and I want to honor them.
I moved to Ridgefield 3 years ago from Clinton, NJ. In Clinton my family got to know the Schaible family who began the Jason P. Schaible Fund in honor of their son, Jason who passed away from cancer. This funds mission is to provide assistance for non-medical expenses to family's whose children are in treatment for pediatric oncology. They are amazing and have helped so many people. They helped my pre-school teacher when her daughter, and my babysitter, Erika, was in treatment. Then when I was in 1st grade they helped my 1st grade teacher when her son, Derrick was in treatment. When I moved to Ridgefield and met Justin, my mom asked the Schaible's if they would be willing to help, even though they didn't live in NJ. The Schaible's didn't hesitate and were in the process of helping when Justin sadly passed. I would like very much to raise money to give back to this fund that has helped so many people I know and create a special place in Ballard Park for the Angel Swing to commemorate these children.
