On October 21, our beloved Angel was tragically shot in the face when a stray bullet entered her home while she was sleeping. This senseless act has changed her life forever, but despite the odds, Angel has proven to be a true survivor. The impact has been severe, and Angel has lost an eye and is battling further complications that may have lasting effects on her life. She’s undergone multiple surgeries and continues to defy expectations as she works toward recovery. Her journey is far from over, but if there’s one thing we know for sure, it's that she is a living miracle.

Everyone who knows Angel knows her to be a fun-loving, caring person who has always been there for others—whether as a friend, a confidant, or a source of joy in so many lives. She is the first to lend a helping hand and the last to ask for help. That desire led her to become a teacher and support for youth in her community. Now, it’s time for us to be there for her.

While she has shown incredible strength, the road to recovery will be long and arduous. She is unable to work at this time, faces mounting bills, ongoing surgeries, and necessary medical supplies, which are all adding to her burdens. She is faced with relearning how to do everyday tasks with limited vision. Recovery is possible but it takes time. This is where we can make a real difference.
