My name is Sarah and by now, many of my family and friends are aware that my precious mother, Doris, is in the fight of her life against stage 4, pancreatic cancer. Our lives were forever changed on December 1, 2023 when mom and dad got an unexpected visit from her doctor, in the middle of a severe snow storm. Those who have heard the word "cancer" in relation to themselves or a loved one, know the feelings that come in waves from that moment forward.

Mom's fight has brought her to a wonderful place in Wisconsin, with care under an amazing team of doctors, nurses, and other staff at Froedtert's. We have been blessed with many miracles including the ability to get her chemo started so quickly following her initial diagnosis, finding a cute little place to stay to allow us to care for her, the warm outreach from family and friends, connections with people (new and old friends) who are encouraging us on this journey, even if just to let mom know she is not alone in this fight. We are not alone in this fight.

This has also come with many unexpected expenses and to that end, God has provided wonderful support through many vessels - and we are so very grateful to those who have already shared in this by giving generously to support mom's fight. We made the decision to start this page as many have asked what they can do to help. There will be many more expenses as we fight this battle and for those who feel called to help in this way, we wanted to provide a way for that to happen. Any funds contributed will be used for expenses directly related to her treatment and care including such things as housing, copays, medications, food, transportation, medical supplies, etc….

Those who are not able to contribute financially, we very much appreciate your prayers, warm thoughts, and all ways you are cheering on mom as she continues in the fight of her life – consider wearing a purple ribbon in support of mom and all those fighting pancreatic cancer.
