Calling All Angels Everywhere!

Just a few days ago, after a career in the medical imaging field, our sweet Ang got the devastating diagnosis that so many patients she lovingly works with each day receive…Cancer.

Specifically, Stage 4 Colon Cancer,

and multiple spots on her Liver.

If you don’t personally know her…

Ang is a beautiful “38 year young” Woman, a

U.S. Coast Guard Wife, to Retired Chief Alphanso Vialva, a Step Mom, Dog Mom, Daughter, Sister, & Friend of so many!

If you personally know Ang & V, then you know

they are true givers! They’d do anything for anyone. It’s always been who they are. And Ang is a fighter!

And it is her and her Doctors plan to fight, and fight for the win!

But her road is long and not an easy one to travel.

Her aggressive chemotherapy treatments are multiple and have already begun. After she has completed her series of Chemo, they will attempt to remove the tumor and section of her colon. Surgery or treatment on her liver are yet to be determined and may soon follow.

The ill side affects of the strong chemo treatments, the symptoms and exhaustion of her illness, as well as the constant travel out of South Jersey to Philadelphia for day long medical appointments, and her chemo, may make returning to work not possible at some point. 

This humble couple who have never hesitated to give to others, is not one to ask for anymore then your constant prayers. But at this time, with V receiving only his Military Pension, and Ang possibly not being able to work, we their Friends are asking if you’d please consider giving even the smallest contribution to meet and hopefully exceed our goal.

They have travel expenses, and out of pocket medical expenses that will quickly add up. They have Family and household expenses like the rest of us, and 3 dogs to feed and care for. Worrying how they’ll meet all of their financial obligations should be the furthest from their thoughts.

Ang graciously shares her rapid journey from symptoms, to diagnosis, to immediate treatment,

below in her own words to bring awareness to all…

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Stomach pains sent me to the hospital last week. CT revealed a lot of inflammation causing confusion. Was it Diverticulitis? Colitis? Or ovary related? Doctors treated me for an infection which looked like it spread to the liver. An MRI was ordered for the liver to take a closer look. This led to a GI scope and a liver biopsy being performed. Doctors never thought due to my age it would be anything more than an infection. White blood cell counts were high. Fever was constant despite medication. Well a GI scope revealed a tumor. Pathology for both the tumor and liver spots revealed that I have Stage 4 Colon cancer.

The shock of a bomb being dropped on me quickly wore off as I can't change anything. I can only move forward. Treatment plans are in place. I have a great team of people supporting me. My family bonds are stronger than ever. My coworkers have now become family. The support from friends have been so comforting.

With all the love and support I have received I can confidently say I will see you all at the top cause that's where I'm headed. My fight is just starting. Cancer picked the wrong girl. I'm going to win!
