I had to let go of my best friend on Sunday. I took her up to UF after having my vet out twice to try and see what's going on, we thought it was just a colic. Once getting up to UF we found not only did she have a Impaction she also had a strangulation. They did a belly tap and found bloody fluids a sign she would need surgery. My grandfather was able to help us out with the payment to get the surgery started. Now we have to come up with the rest of the payment for the surgery at UF, the payment for my regular vet and the founds to get my Angels ashes to me. Angel was my first horse. She was strong, stubborn, loving, bratty horse. She was my everything. We grew together as a team. She made me a better rider and a better person. She was the best thing to happen to me. I had to do everything I could for her. We had so many plans to this year we were getting ready for shows and she loved trail rides point this horse in the woods go "off roading" with her and she was the happiest she would ever be. She gave me her everything and I gave her my everything. Anything made over the goal will be donated to a horse rescue. Alis volat propriis - she flies with her own wings.
