Angel's Journey: Overcoming Cancer

Hello, my name's Angel Rodriguez and I am asking for help fighting Hodgkin's lymphoma. I am 37 years old, a veteran, and a father. If you know me, I am very hesitant to ask for help, but due to the current circumstances, just purchasing my first home not even 3 months before being diagnosed, I think now is the time to ask for support. Things have gotten a lot bigger than I have emotionally, mentally, or financially prepared for, and any support will help.

It all started because I felt like I was being slightly choked from the inside. At first, I thought I slept wrong and had a stiff neck. It was making it difficult for me to breathe. I went through a couple of tests, and at first, they said it was nothing. I was randomly getting fatigued throughout the day. I decided to go into my primary care physician's office and asked for blood work because I knew something was wrong. My primary care physician also ordered a chest X-ray, and that's when they found it. I had a mass in my chest the size of a grapefruit.

Then, before I could get my biopsy so I could be properly diagnosed, I developed blood clots from PICC line placement in my arm. This caused me to be admitted, where they found I had a pulmonary embolism and 2 blood clots in the arm. My arm and neck were severely swollen, and I was already having trouble breathing; this made it worse. They were able to take the biopsy, and I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.

With me not being able to do my second job, your donation will help cover:
