Angels colon cancer Medical funds

Hi my name is Autumn, and I am setting up this fundraiser for my 49 year old mother who was recently diagnosed with stage 2 possibly 3 colon cancer. On July 17th she went for a routine colonoscopy. During the procedure they located 3 masses. The largest measuring almost 5 mm , and 7 polyps. They were removed and sent for biopsy. The doctors were positive they would come back precancerous, and their removal would fix that. On Tuesday July 20th she received a call. The largest one was indeed cancer, and appeared pretty aggressive. He explained that he was sending her to a surgeon where they could make a treatment plan. She was scheduled for a 2nd colonoscopy for July 23rd, where they tattooed the area the cancerous mass was removed. She then met with the surgeon the same day, and was told their plan of action. She is to have the section of bowel removed along with 20 lymph nodes in the area. If the cancer was in the lymphatic system then she would have to undergo extensive chemo after her surgery. They also wanted to see if she had a genetic factor, and if so they want to remove her entire large intestine. Today, July 24th, she went for a CT scan to determine whether the cancer has spread to other organs. We will not know those results for a few days.

Currently the treatment plan involves a very invasive surgery where she will be out of work for at least 6 weeks. I am creating this to help support her during this time, so she can focus on healing instead of income. This has all happened really fast, and extremely without warning. My mother is a very strong person, who has helped save countless lives as a respitory therapist. She has given so much to her community, her family, and her friends. This will not stop her.
