Hello, my name is Alaina, and I am fundraising for my dear friend and long time co-worker Jo Linda Basa and her husband Angelo Calabrese. A few years back, Angelo was diagnosed IFP (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis). He has been living these past years using liquid oxygen at an extremely high level of 15 LPM! He was promptly waitlisted for a new lung. Angelo and Jo Linda waited eagerly for a new lung, as his quality of life rapidly declined. Twice, they were called in to the hospital for a new lung, and both times sent home due to the lungs not being viable, which diminished their hopes significantly. This past Monday, due to complications of this disease, Angelo passed away. As many of their finances have been tied to Angelo's health, him not able to work these past years, and funeral costs, they don't have a lot of disposable income. Angelo and Jo Linda (and their kids, Joan and Luis) are such loving people whom always served others without asking anything in return and I hope they will feel the same support from the community around them.
