On Saturday, July 17, 2021, Angelita Ortiz was admitted to the hospital after having a life-threatening stroke. After beginning her care in the ICU, she improved and was well on her way towards a successful recovery. Unfortunately, Angelita endured critical complications from her tracheotomy tube. She thankfully had successful emergency surgery. However, on August 6, 2021, Angelita was suddenly called home to be with the Lord.

Throughout her time in the hospital, Angelita Ortiz continued persevering and continued to fight until the very end. She was a strong, independent woman who dared to face every hardship that came her way. Now, her soul rests peacefully in the hands of God, and she is free from all pain and illness.
