Isabella Mireya Guimet is a normal child with an obstacle to overcome. At just three years old, she has been battling her own body due to Anti-NMDA autoimmune receptor encephalitis. In short, this is an increase of receptors and inflammation in her brain. So far this has caused her body to have a few seizures, regardless of medicines to prevent them. She is also facing the frustration of losing the ability to speak along with constant involuntary movement that has left her sleepless for many nights at a time. Currently, she is under the amazing care of neurologists, psychiatrists, and the General inter medicine doctors whom have also recruited physical, speech and occupational therapists, to get a head start on her recovery. She has a long road ahead to recover, as al who suffer from anti-nmda normally do.
