Angelique Levac opened her business 'Angelique's Native Arts' in 1993 on George Street in downtown Prince George, BC. She was forced to move when the Prince George Hotel was being demolished and has now been at the 335 Dominion Street location for 11 years.
Angelique is a community champion who has generously supported artists and charities throughout her 27 years as a business owner.
In the last 2 years Angelique has been robbed 3 times and has lost thousands of dollars in merchandise.
In 2020, I visited Angelique's store to purchase gifts a week before Christmas and when I arrived I knew that something terrible must have happened. Angelique and her co-worker were very upset and Angelique was holding her painful arm. I asked what was wrong and that's when I learned that they had just been robbed!
They had already called 911 to report the crime but the police weren't much help at all. Nothing has been done to help with the recovery of the 2 pairs of mukluks that were stolen that day. The loss this time was approximately $600.00.
Two years prior, someone broke into Angelique's store and stole $20,000.00 worth of jewelry.
So my reason for this GoFundMe page is to ask for your financial support to help my longtime friend to pay for the purchase and installation of a Security System to be installed inside and outside of her small business.
