Angelina's Pre Medical Educational Fellowship

Hi, My name is Angelina Brunetto and I am fundraising for my 3 weeks journey to Italy for educational purposes.

This is important to me as I seek to gain knowledge and experience related to my career, which is to become a doctor. Ever since I was little, I had the dream of going into the medical field. From the beginning of high school, I have volunteered over 700 hours at the Veterans Hospital, but I have always wanted to help out more. Recently, I got my Medical Assistant Certification so I would be able to tend to patients firsthand. This program will not only give me knowledge on how different specialties and hospitals work but will also help me gain connections around the world!

After looking into the opportunities that Atlantis offers, I applied the next day, interviewed the following week, and was thankfully accepted soon afterward. Through this program, I will get the opportunity to: shadow international physicians, rotate weekly through various specialties, shadow for 20 hours per week, go on group excursions to experience my host country’s culture, connect with other pre-med students around the world, and grow personally through this international experience. I will be traveling to Milan, Italy for three weeks in the summer of 2023, and I am so excited to see healthcare from this new cultural perspective!

I am someone who always wanted to go into healthcare. I know I have so much to offer and know that, given the right opportunities, I will progress immensely. I want to prove to people willing to help me that they are investing in something great.

I have had a lot of ups and downs in the process of being a pre-med student. It is a difficult journey but being accepted for this program validates my hardships. I am hoping my authenticity comes through and lets you know that I am very serious and passionate about what I do and whatever you can do for me will be very much appreciated.
