This fundraiser was set up for our dearest friend and coworker, Angelina Cuneo, lost her battle with cancer in her late thirties. She was diagnosed with Melanoma that spread to her lungs in April of 2021. The last 8 months she spent in and out of different hospitals, facing setbacks and numerous ups and downs, as she was trying to stay positive and fight the only way she knew how. With a beautiful smile on her face and her always positive attitude.

 

Even though we haven't worked with Angelina for a long time, and mostly in virtual settings, her kind face and calming voice was something many of us were looking forward to each morning as we logged in separately from our homes. The minute Angelina turned on her camera and smiled with a hot cup of whatever felt right that morning, we knew that no matter how crazy things would get, we were a great team and would conquer things together. Her favorite saying at work was "today is going to be a good day" and in most cases, she was right :) We will make you proud, Angelina. Next days and weeks will most likely not be "good", as we are all trying to understand why things like this happen to such incredible people. But we will strive to make each day a "good day" just as she would want us to.

 

Angelina leaves behind her beautiful family; her loving husband, Yacouba, her step son, Mubarak, and her little baby boy, Akeem.
