Angelica Oviedo, a mother of two young boys, Julian and Anthony and loving wife to Ivan. She comes from a large, loving family with three sisters and her parents, who recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, arranged by Angelica and her sisters. In early June 2022, Angelica was diagnosed with Stage III cervical cancer. By mid-June, she was in treatment consisting of radiation five days a week as well as chemo. A recent MRI shows that the tumor(s) have shrunk but she is now onto her next stage of more aggressive radiation and chemotherapy. Angelica has continued to work as best as she can in between treatments, but the bills are flowing in steadily.

Angelica has many friends and family who adore her. She is the hardest working and loyal employee, mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend. She is a giver and doesn’t expect anything in return. She always puts others first before she focuses on herself. She loves her family, her Pumpkin Spice Latte, her Mexican Coke and Tortas! She has worked at Broadspire for 14 years and specializes in workers’ compensation claims. Although she loves her job, she never starts her day without a Starbucks caramel macchiato. No matter how busy she gets, she always helps or she will find a solution to any problem. She is so organized that she keeps a personal planner and a work planner. Angelica has met and made so many friends throughout the industry and she definitely has learned so much from all of her lawyers, nurses, investigators and other specialized professionals. She’s a wonderful mom who keeps up with her two boys, their soccer games, schoolwork, and takes walks with Ivan and the boys around the neighborhood or to the park almost everyday. She enjoys window shopping and Target and can basically recite every episode of Friends. To those fortunate to call her a friend, she will always provide an ear to listen and a quiet presence when words are too much. She loves to laugh and can be a bit mischievous and can likely beat anyone in a Friends trivia challenge. She loves anything pink, wants to be a princess and we are pretty sure she has kept Starbucks in business.

Angelica is the glue in life for her family, friends and her work family. We are asking for any donation to help her keep afloat in this trying time for her and her boys. She is one of the strongest women most will ever know and will get through this with so much love and support around her – but without having any financial worries, she can focus on herself and fight this battle.
