Angelic Kitty Miracle-chan - Short Film

Hi! I'm Colin Armistead and I'm raising funds to support my live action/animated Calarts bfa3 short film Angelic Kitty Miracle-chan.

film is about about Alex who is very obsessed with the titular anime character Miracle-chan while struggling with their gender presentation. Their self identification with this anime heroine provides them a chance to experiment with their sense of their identity, but things don't go exactly as planned.

Angelic Kitty Miracle-chan is deeply interested in examining the way we understand transfeminity while offering a critical look as to how we interact with and self identify with fictional characters and media in the age of the internet. The film is very much influenced by my struggles with gender dysphoria and hopes to resonate with not just people in similar circumstances but anyone who has struggled with their sense of self.

As I am in the Character Animation program I'm going to have to get real scrappy to make a live action film ( with animated elements ) and so far have gotten help from incredibly fantastic people willing to contribute their abilities. Such as the Idol and voice actress Phoebe Chan who will be providing the singing voice of Miracle-chan. and the music producer Dante (SoundCirclet) who will be producing the film's opening pop theme song.

the goal for the budget is to reach $3500. We are seeking these donations for production design and equipment rental purposes, as well as to provide food for our cast and crew and ways to make the experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

I truly have never felt so strongly about any project in my life, getting to work on this is truly a dream come true so any donation no matter how small is extremely appreciated, as well as sharing with anyone who might be able to help if the option isn't available to you.
