A family of 5 in Orpington Kent, has been diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer called Chordoma. The young daughter Aleksandra aged 9 was misdiagnosed once before then just before Christmas in 2016 a horrifying phone call confirmed that the tumour in Alek's eye is cancerous. Chordoma usually is cancer of the bones, cartilage, muscles and other connective tissue. She is the first known patient to have this type of cancer growing near her eye. The best option for Alek's safety is to have her eye removed. She is then going to have special treatment in America to receive intense Proton Beam therapy for a number of weeks. We have set up this page to assist her family with any financial needs they may face at this terrible time and long term...
The purpose of this funding is that whilst Alek's is receiving treatment in America, her mum will be with her every step along the way whilst the father stay at home in Orpington Kent caring for their other two younger daughters. We would like to reach a target of £2000 to support the family during that time.
