Angele’s Support for Scleroderma

Donation protected
My dear friends, as you may already know, I was diagnosed with a very rare illness called Scleroderma (or Systemic Sclerosis) in January of 2024. Since then, my life has definitely taken a big turn; so much has changed. One thing that an individual doesn’t always realize until you’ve been through it, is how difficult being sick is on your personal finances. Last September, I had to make the very difficult decision to stay home full time to take care of my health and I left behind my beautiful classroom. For now, many months later, I’ll be honest that my main worry at the moment is money. And this is why I’ve decided to ask support from my precious friends and family. I have never asked for something like this and hopefully will never have to again. Let me explain a bit so you can understand my predicament. My work used to pay my health insurance but now I have to pay it out of pocket. Some of my medications (11 prescriptions in total with two being topical creams) are very expensive and/or not covered at all. At this point, I don’t know how I’ll buy groceries next week (and we all know how expensive life has gotten for everyone nowadays). I am currently waiting on Long-Term Disability payments which I’m told could take weeks or even months to get approved. Oh and by the way my friends, I am also currently in the hospital and have been here for over two weeks; but don’t worry, the nurses and doctors have been absolutely amazing! I’m definitely in good hands!

With all that said, I’ve decided to start a little fundraiser to help me get through the next few months of my life. I could never call one friend or family member to ask for a ton of money, but maybe if a few people can spare the price of a few morning coffees, I’ll be golden!

Before wrapping this up, I’ll also share that I have many exciting plans for the near future, for example, getting myself my own therapy dog! ‍ I appreciate that I will have the time to train him/her for my own personal needs. Also in the works is my own little personal business offering tutoring services to French Immersion students! I can’t wait to have one-on-one personalized time with children (or adults!) in need. In fact, I already have my first client chosen and my services will be offered to her PRO BONO (at first) and I’ll be calling it “market research”!

Well that’s all for now, thank you in advance if you decide that you can help me. I will be forever grateful!

And wishing all mothers a very good Mother’s Day tomorrow! I’ll be in the hospital not able to celebrate with my Dickson and Rocky, but I know they’re in good hands safe at home.

My dear friends and family, thank you for your time today! I miss you all and hope you are well! ❤️‍ Talk again soon!
