Angel Dawn - Memorial Fund

Family and Friends,
It is with great sadness that we must inform you that Angel Dawn Westover Monbeck has passed away.
Angel was a ballerina, a girl scout, a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a friend to many.
Always Smiling
Angel remained eternally optimistic throughout a complicated and tragic life.
Angel was a happy person, and she smiled often, despite the challenges she faced during her time with us.
She was an intelligent, beautiful, and charismatic person.
Always Loving
Angel was a very loving human being, always caring and thinking of others, especially her children. She was always ready to give and share whatever she had with her family and her friends.
When I was born, Angel was so excited to have a baby brother. She was proud when she held me and glad to watch over me — to take me swimming, to celebrate my birthday.
When I was in first grade, she patiently explained the difference between the stars and the planets.
When we went ice skating and I couldn’t stand on one skate, she held me up so we could take our family picture.
Mental Illness
As some of you may know, Angel suffered from mental illness which surfaced in her adulthood. Her illness became serious after having her three children Rachel Faith Monbeck, Rebecca Noel Monbeck, and Johnathan Philip Monbeck — but her loving heart and creative spirit endured despite the challenges she faced with her mind and body - and her thoughts were always with her children.
Her illness caused her friends and family to push her away, and complicated her life and the lives of her family members. We ask you take a moment to reflect on the impact of mental illness on families and individuals in our world. We are all often guilty of pushing away those we deem unfit for living in our world, and we ought to be better people — since so many loving and creative people like Angel suffer from mental illness.
Angel has left us unexpectedly, and we will miss her. We wish her peace.
This Memorial Fund
Our family is asking for any help you may be able to give as we prepare a memorial service for Angel during this difficult time.
Any funds received will be used for a memorial service for Angel, to carry our her final wishes, and to preserve her memory - especially for her children which we feel do not know how much their mother loved them.
Any funds received beyond what is needed for Angel's memorial service will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness in her name.
Our family is grateful for your prayers and support during this difficult time.
