Hello Everybody,
My wife and I want to have a baby together and we have been trying for over two and a half years without success. We've tried the natural way as well as IVF (in vitro fertilization) and IUI (intrauterine insemination) methods. IVF is the most expensive method we've tried costing over $25,000 for two attempts with my wife's eggs. Both attempts had embryos that ended up not growing after a certain period of time. It has been hard both emotionally and financially.
It is our deepest and dearest wish to have a baby together to love and cuddle and nurture into a happy boy or girl who makes our lives that much brighter. This is where we ask for your help to make this dream a reality. Our close friends told us about their success at an egg donor program overseas where the cost of the treatment and donor are a fraction of the cost here in the United States. In the U.S. an egg donation IVF would cost over $29,500. It is too far out of our budget at this point.
We've looked into adoption. Two reasons we are not pursuing this avenue yet are estimates on adoption cost between $25,000 and $75,000 and we desire to have our choice in how we become parents. We are going step by step, i.e. natural, IUI, IVF and then adoption. Please respect our choice.
Overseas, it will cost $13,735 for the donor, procedure and medications, plus $2,165 for travel and hotel totaling $15,900. Much more affordable and it has worked for our friends so we are hopeful it will work for us. They have a 65% success rate!
If 15,900 people gave $1 or if 3,180 people gave $5, we could make this amazing dream come true. We know we will be good parents and our hearts are committed to seeing this happen.
