Hafa Adai,
Back in November 2021, Angela had been experiencing painful excruciating abdominal pains with bloating & irregular heavy bleedings during her menstrual cycles. She went to get seen by her primary physician & did a full physical examination to find out the cause of her experiencing all these abnormal medical situations.
she went through trans vaginal ultrasounds & CT scans ordered by her primary doctor & results came back she had endometrial hyperplasia. Angela suffers from anemia which her blood count is very low which she would be needing blood transfusions. She was referred to a gynecologist specialist & was put on a waitlist to get seen due to the lack of gynecologist here on island.
She finally had her check up with her gynecologist specialist & had to do repeated labs monthly & trans vaginal ultrasounds & CT scans to get a second opinion. In August 2023, Angela had a biopsy done & was sent back for testing in Hawaii & got her results back after 2 weeks of testing. The results nobody wants to face or experience. She was diagnosed with endometrial cancer.
She underwent an emergency surgery in November 2023 here on island but unfortunately, her surgery was not a success. Now Angela’s doctor referred her to seek off-island medical care for a major surgery that needs to be done off island in May 22nd 2024 due to the lack of medical equipment needed during the surgery.
we are raising funds for the cost of airfare, lodging, & any medical expenses not covered from her insurance, along with treatments needed after her recovery. We know times are tough but any amount will be greatly appreciated. Thoughts & prayers are also very much appreciated.
God Bless
