Angela's Mission Trip to Tanzania

Hey There!
Most of you may know me already but if not here's a quick intro! My name is Angela De La Cruz and I am now a teacher candidate, completing the first year of my B.Ed at York University. Teaching has always been second nature to me and a passion I am fortunate to pursue. I have the amazing opportunity to travel to Tanzania, Africa in April of 2018 for 2 weeks to teach in a local school, build a school and volunteer in local villages.
This opportunity will allow me to submerse myself in a new culture as well as learn from the locals who will surround me every day as well as my fellow teacher candidates, with whom I am able to share this experience with. I strongly believe that knowledge is power and therefore it is my duty as a future educator to share this passion.
I truly believe that the sky is the limit and that anything is possible, therefore, I am beyond excited to announce this journey and share it with you all. That being said, I would more than appreciate your support in making this trip a reality so that I can help make a difference in somebody else's life - no matter how small. Thank you far in advance for being a part of this exciting journey.
This trip is made possible through its affiliation with the Me to We Foundation - my fellow teacher candidates and I will be working in one of the WE Charity's sustainable development projects. The funds for this trip include: travels, accomodations, building supplies for the school, education resources for students and food for a family in need.
