Angela's Fight: Your Support Matters

Meet Angela Cepeda-Ortiz
Angela is a 29-year-old force of nature a woman of strong Catholic faith, unshakable determination, and a heart devoted to serving others. As a full-time college student at Fresno State, Angela is just weeks away from graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She works full time while balancing her studies, never letting go of her dream to become a school psychologist. In fact, she’s already preparing to pursue her Master’s in School Psychology beginning Spring 2026, determined not to let anything stand in her way.
Angela is the oldest of three, a loving and guiding big sister to her two younger brothers. She’s a dedicated daughter, a cherished granddaughter, a loyal godmother (padrina), a trusted neighbor, an uplifting coworker, and a best friend you can count on without question. She’s the kind of person who shows up for everyone in her life quietly, faithfully, and with deep compassion.
Recently, Angela went in for a routine check-up after a bout of strep throat. What she didn’t expect was a diagnosis that would change everything: Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It was a shocking discovery, but not one that has shaken her faith or her drive. Angela remains steadfast in her mission to live fully, love deeply, and continue her journey toward becoming a school psychologist.
This GoFundMe is to help Angela continue to do just that to live her life, follow her calling, and not be slowed down by cancer. She wants to express her deepest gratitude to her support system her family, friends, coworkers, and community who have stood by her with strength and love.
Angela also has a message for her peers: “Take care of yourselves. Listen to your body. Advocate for your health, even when you're young. Life is precious, and awareness can make all the difference.”
Your support will help Angela fight this battle while continuing to chase her dreams. Together, we can help her move forward with courage, purpose, and hope.
If you cannot donate, please know that your prayers are just as appreciated and powerful.
“We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
