Burn Recovery – Urgent Help Please.

My fiancé Angela recently had an accident. She is suffering from a 3rd degree burn on her foot that has resulted in an extended stay at the burn center for over a week now, and counting. She is responding well to antibiotics, but surgery is required to treat the burn. We are optimistic about treatment and recovery, but it is taking its toll, both emotionally and financially, beyond what insurance can cover.


I visit her every day, and she is doing her best to maintain a bright and positive attitude. Angela always greets me with a smile and asks how I am doing, concerned about my well-being, with no thought for herself. But I can see the burden behind her eyes.


She has been unable to work while in the hospital, cutting off her source of income. She loves her job and desperately wants to get back to it, and resume her regular life. However, once she is able to leave, she will still need to focus on healing, reducing her ability to earn money to pay down medical costs and regular bills.


To make matters worse, I received notice in the beginning of January that I will be laid off from my current job due to budget cuts. I'm on the hunt for new opportunities, but the timing could not be worse. We hope to be back on our feet soon, but with both our incomes in jeopardy, we are asking friends, family, and anyone else for assistance while we ride out this difficult time.

Like so many others, this trauma has blindsided us. It pains me to write this plea. We are exploring all options available, but with no other recourse, we are reaching out for compassion and assistance. Thank you.
