Angela's Diabetic Service Dog
Donation protected
I have had Type 1 Diabetes for over 40 years. My Hypoglycemic unawareness has progressed so now I need a Diabetic Alert Service Dog. A medical service dog will help me with severe hypoglycemic unawareness, which in a diabetic, is life threatening and can lead to coma and death. Diabetic Alert Dogs warn a diabetic when their blood sugar gets too high or too low, so that the diabetic can take proper action to recover. These dogs are highly trained, and matched to the person they will service.
With a Diabetic Alert Service Dog, I will be able to live and work for many more years and NOT LET THE DIABETES WIN. Unfortunately, Diabetic Alert Service Dogs costs $15,000, plus travel and training expense on my end for a total of $20,000. This is a lot of money and is not covered by insurance. I have put down a deposit on Jaxon, my Alert Dog and have a year to raise the rest.
I will do whatever I can to be able to get my dog, Jaxon. I hope you can help, and thank you in advance for your generosity.
