On January 12, 2021 Angela Martinez was admitted to the hospital for Covid-19. After a night in the hospital she was transferred to the ICU where she fought everyday to get stronger and keep her oxygen levels up. Everyday she tried her best and fought her hardest to get better. She never gave up. On January 16 she was told she had a pneumothorax and needed to have a chest tube, she was very brave and did it to save her life. After 5 days with the chest tube they were able to remove it and everyone was hoping this was the start of the recovery. On January 26th, 2021 Angela Martinez and her husband Bill agreed to put her on a ventilator since her oxygen levels were not improving. Her family decided to move her to St. Luke’s in Milwaukee to consider doing ECMO which could help her recover faster. On January 29, 2021 Bill Kugler received the worst news he ever heard, his wife of 19 years was showing no signs of improvement and her kidney was failing, he was told they should arrange there final goodbyes. On January 30th Bill, there kids Mariah and Jake did a final zoom call to say there goodbye to their wife and mother. Derek Martinez, Angela’s son was able to visit her one last time before she started watching over us. On January 30, 2021 at 3:33pm Angela Martinez gained her wings and started watching over her family. She will be forever missed. All donations will be used to cover medical expenses.
