Angela Kovalchick

Our mother, wife, sister, friend, daughter...extraordinaire, Angela, has had some health challenges (to say the least) lately. On top of a scare a few months ago, a (very thankfully benign) growth on her brain was identified, which was surgically removed last week. The tumor compression affected her entire left side, so the implications are very similar to a stroke. She's OK but has quite the uphill road ahead to full recovery - including a lot of therapy, wheelchairs/walkers, and generally major alteration and reduction of her normal daily activities. We all know her as a powerhouse of a person; filling so many roles as noted at the outset. But most important to her, as a mom to her four kids (five if you count Sean).

Because of medical expenses and having to take a break from work as a nurse (always helping other people), and her normal family support, we wanted to start this fund to help fill the void for a bit. This will hopefully allow Angela to get her strength back and return to full pre-medical-issue function! It will also allow Sean to breathe a bit from firefighter duties to help her and the kids.
