Update - December 2025 - Angela has been bed ridden since the stroke with left-side paralysis. She had some cognitive and vision impairment. There have been many challenges, especially financial. She could not continue with PT due to outstanding bills. Her husband and family care for her 24/7. She loves the Lord.

Angela is a hard working 55 year old who suffered a massive stroke on 5/27/23. The following day, a Neurosurgeon performed a craniectomy (removed part of her skull, which will remain off for weeks) to allow the brain to swell and prevent further damage. She is in the Neuro ICU and it is anticipated she will remain there until she goes to a rehabilitation facility. She is on a ventilator as there are concerns with her lungs because she aspirated. Her left side is nonresponsive. A long road of recovery is ahead.

She and her husband own a drywall company. New home construction is down in their region, they lost two builders within the last year (one went out of business and the other retired). Angela has worked "part-time" to help out but her employer doesn't provide insurance or disability, although she typically works more than 40 hours a week. They have minimal health insurance. She was transported to a non-network hospital. Now that her income is gone and they were already behind on their house payment, the worry about medical bills and her future care is putting a great stress on the family. She didn't even want her husband to call 911 because it would be too expensive.

Angela loves our Lord so deeply! She has a big laugh, a huge heart and is deeply loved by her children and grandchildren. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated. We can't wait to hear her voice again. We know she will say "God Bless and Thank You!"
