Angela Cappara - Small Cell Lung Caner Journey

It is with a heavy heart that I open this account today on Go Fund Me. My sister Angela Cappara was diagnosed on January 31, 2022, with Stage 4 Small Cell and Non-Small Cell (Large) Lung cancer. The cancers have metastasized to other organs of her body, she is incurable. She has opted not to have chemotherapy in order to have a quality of life over quantity of life and has entered Hospice Care. She wants to spend the remaining days she has left enjoying time with her family and not being sick from treatment.

We are asking for donations to help offset any medical bills/medicines not covered by her insurance and to cover burial/cremation costs. Angela has been out of work since January 31st with no income since then and doesn’t have life insurance coverage. She became sick while in North Carolina, her medical coverage is from New York State, and doesn’t have Out-Of-State coverage so some of her medical bills will not be covered.

Any size donation is greatly appreciated and will help to alleviate some of the anxieties Angela is having about burdening her family with having to pay for medical bills/medicines and burial/cremation costs. Having the support from all of our amazing friends, family, and acquaintances will be an enormous help in lifting some of these burdens off of Angela’s shoulders so she can focus on spending time with her children, grandchildren, parents, and siblings in her remaining days.

Any money remaining after paying the outstanding medical bill and her funeral services will be donated to Hospice.
