Angel Vidal-Cardenas (37 years old)
Battling stage 4 stomach and liver cancer
In 2014 Angel and his wife Marisol and their 3 children decided to move to the San Francisco bay area (from New York) because they felt there were better job opportunities. About 2 months into their relocation Angel was not feeling well and was quickly diagnosed with stage 4 stomach and liver cancer. For 14 months Angel fought hard with his doctor to beat the cancer through Chemotherapy which appeared to have great success. Unfortunately, about 2 months ago the cancer came back with a vengeance! It was during this time that I first met Angel and became greatly inspired by his strength and attitude during this incredibly difficult time. Most people would have given up but Angel chose to fight on. Not only did he go back for more Chemotherapy but he continued to work with me in the construction trade (Unfortunately his family was not in a position where he could stay home, They needed his income to get by). There were a number of days where he would work until he could not stand it anymore and then he would go lay down and try to recover. Angel’s attitude was incredible! He continually saw God’s hand in his life and for that he was very thankful.
Angel is at a point now where western medicine has no more options. His doctor wants to put him on hospice and Angel is unable to work. In a last ditch effort they have sought treatment with the Hoxsey Clinic which uses alternative forms of therapy to fight the cancer. They use a holistic approach with a special diet. We estimate that this 6 month treatment will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $4000. We are asking that you would consider donating to this cause for his medication and for monies that they can live on. Marisol currently has a job as a school bus driver (which has been a God send because of the great health coverage that she gets) but only brings in about $3000 per month. We anticipate that she will miss a lot of work as she has to care for Angel. We are currently setting a fund raising target of $25,000 for medical expenses and general living costs (Their monthly rent is $1950).
We know that helping the Cardenas with their physical needs is important but we also ask for your prayerful support as well. There is nothing too hard for God and we acknowledge that he is “the great physician”! Please pray for a miraculous healing.
