Supporting Angel's Memory

It is with deep sorrow that we share the unexpected passing of Angel on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Angel was attending a human rights event in downtown Iowa City, a cause he passionately championed, when he was found unresponsive. A passerby immediately called 911, and healthcare providers, who were in the immediate area, heroically administered CPR, briefly reviving him. Despite their best efforts at the hospital, Angel could not be revived.

Angel's unwavering commitment to fairness and justice touched many lives. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle, leaving behind his mother, brother, sisters, a large extended family, and countless friends. His dedication to human rights inspired all who knew him.

In this time of unexpected grief, we are asking for your support to help Angel's family with funeral expenses and memorial arrangements.
