Help Angel fight her battle with NF2 and BulbarDysfunction

Donation protected
Support Angel’s Fight against NF2 and Bulbar Dysfunction.

Angel is a 26-year-old mother from Waterford with a bright and bubbly 9-year-old daughter, Ivy and loving fiancé Jordan.

Unfortunately, In 2018, Angel was diagnosed with a rare and incurable condition called Neurofibromatosis Type 2 (NF2). This disease causes multiple tumours to grow throughout the body, including the brain, spine, and nerves.

Angel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the South East Technological University in 2022. Angel graduated on the 2nd of November and had her first of many surgeries just days later on the 11th of November.
Since her diagnosis, Angel’s life has been a relentless battle. She has undergone 12 brain surgeries, 28 rounds of stereotactic radiotherapy, and countless hospital admissions. She now lives with a brain injury, chronic pain, paralysis of one vocal cord affecting her ability to speak, hearing loss, balance issues and severely reduced independence, among others.

Recently, Angel was given another devastating diagnosis: Bulbar Dysfunction, a condition that affects vital functions such as swallowing, breathing, and speaking. She is currently hospitalised in Dublin, facing difficult choices — major surgery with life-altering outcomes or palliative care. Despite this, Angel’s determination to fight for her and her daughter’s future remains unshaken.

Angel’s illness has taken away so much — her independence, her ability to work, and even simple joys like bringing Ivy to school or going for walks. What has never changed is her love for Ivy and her refusal to give up.

To improve her safety, comfort, and quality of life, Angel urgently needs support with:
• Specialist hearing aids for single-sided deafness, so she can better communicate and engage with the world around her.
• Doorbell cameras and safety technology, to help her live more independently and securely despite her hearing loss and mobility challenges.
• Vestibular therapy and rehabilitation, to help with balance issues, dizziness, and mobility — crucial for reducing falls and regaining confidence.
• Personal aides and rehabilitation supports, to help her safely manage daily life and spend more meaningful time with Ivy.

These vital supports are not fully available through the public health system, and her family cannot cover the costs alone.

Angel is a young mother and loving fiancè who should be enjoying life with her little girl and her partner. Instead, she is fighting every single day just to stay alive and keep going. With your help, Angel can access the care, rehabilitation, and equipment she desperately needs.

Please consider donating to support Angel’s recovery and to help her spend as much quality time as possible with Ivy and Jordan. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a life-changing difference.

If you can’t donate, please share Angel’s story. Together, we can give this brave young mother a fighting chance.
100 % of funds raised will be directly transferred to Angel Wall to spend on the aforementioned equipment and care. There are no other beneficiaries in this fundraiser.
