Angel Daniel Torres Esophageal Cancer Fund

My name is Angel Daniel Torres, aka “Danny”.On August 8, 2022, I was diagnosed with Oral Cancer and with Esophageal Cancer on October 11. Both were discovered after a routine visit to the dentist. Since July, I have had multiple tests, laboratories, etc. done...for which, thank God, we have been able to afford. So far, our expenses have been approximately $12,000.00 and we are still receiving co-insurance bills. I have just started chemotherapy treatment and I resort to your generosity because due to the intense infusions treatments and surgery scheduled for 2023, my beloved wife Marianir will take the reins and responsibilities of our home in Texas, since I will not be able to work until I recover from this whole process. As many know, cancer treatment is expensive… and the Houston Medical Center, TX is no exception; not being able to contribute to the responsibilities of our home after this unexpected news is something that honestly worries me, and I recognize that I must focus on my mental and physical health. This is not my first rodeo; it is my second round with an Esophageal Cancer diagnosis. God’s grace has always been with me, providing what is necessary for both me and my family. Those who really know us know that we are responsible people in our respective jobs, and for the past few years we have been working hard - doing all possible - to sort our finances to meet our goals. These goals we will now place “on hold” to focus and face this tough journey. In 2017, we were also impacted by this diagnosis and had recently moved from Puerto Rico. It feels even more difficult without the presence of our loved ones. With this process, we have had to set our pride aside to accept the help that we so badly need. We thank God for his mercy every day, strength, messages of support and generosity to face this process with faith and hope.
