Angel Acosta's Family
Donation protected
On Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, at 2 a.m., Angel took his own life after a silent battle with depression. He left behind his 1-month-old son, 7-year-old stepdaughter, 8-year-old stepson, and beautiful fiancé Savannah Brooke. The unexpected loss of Angel has struck the Marine Corps community with intense grief and anger that one of our own was driven to the point, once again, to believe that suicide was the only option. Savannah and their children are experiencing financial hardship on top of mourning the loss of their father, partner, and best friend. She has no family nearby to help her out and is currently stranded in South Carolina without a vehicle to get around at all. Her plans for the moment are to get her and the kids to Texas to attend the funeral with Angel's grandmother who was his appointed beneficiary at the time of his death. Afterwards, she plans to move to Nebraska to be close to her family for support and a chance to rebuild and heal.
Given the suddenness of this loss, Savannah and his kids have nothing to aid them at the moment. He was their only source of income as she provided care for their kids at home.
I'm setting the initial goal to $15,000, in order to provide her and the kids with airfare, food, rent, travel, lodging, and other accommodations that will be needed just to get to Nebraska. Any additional funds raised will help provide for Savannah to get on her feet and rebuild her and their children's lives in the aftermath of this tragedy.
Any donation is greatly appreciated, and if you can't donate, I strongly advise you share this as the bare minimum. I call upon the rest of our brother and sisters in arms who also had the privilege to work with Acosta in the Marine Corps, let's give him peace of mind in knowing we're taking care of his family now that he's gone. Til Valhalla, brother. We've got it from here.
|| PLEASE NOTE|| I'm running this page for Savannah so she can focus on her and her family during this difficult time, however ALL proceeds will go directly to her. If you still don't feel comfortable donating, feel free to reach out and we'll find another way for you to donate to her.
