At the age of 11 Angel, is now facing the challenges of spinal muscle atrophy (SMA). SMA is a genetic condition that significantly impacts muscle strength, function, speaking, walking, swallowing, and breathing.

Angel's daily life is filled with obstacles, as SMA has affected his ability to walk, sit up, and undertake basic self-care tasks. What makes Angel’s journey even more inspiring is that he is looked after solely by his dedicated mother and father, who serve as his sole care providers. Unfortunately, they lack the support they need to provide Angel with the specialised care he requires.
