Help Murphy walk again!

On Christmas Eve, our 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Murphy, started to have trouble with his hind legs while walking. He has since been diagnosed with IVDD, a spinal cord disease that can cause nerve damage and paralysis. Today, he is barely able to stand more than a few seconds to eat or potty and his disease has started to affect the front half of his body as well. He has been treated with medications but they have not helped. Murphy will need a MRI, CT scan and spinal surgery urgently to save his young life.

Murphy is generally a very happy and active dog and loves to be with his family. He hardly ever shows pain so it is very hard to see him this way. We want to give Murphy his best shot at life, but with a toddler and a baby on the way, we cannot afford the cost of his medical bills on our own.
