We are raising money for the final step of Angaea’s citizenship process. The costs to gain US citizenship are exceptionally high and have been thousands of dollars so far, so we are asking for support in this final step.

Anyone who has met Angaea can testify to her vigor for life, her artistic talent, and her uncomparable heart. This is our opportunity to give back to her in ways she has given to everyone around her.

Angaea is an incredible human, community “artivist”, and friend to any she meets. Despite her citizenship status, she graduated from UCLA, started her own book-making business, and now teaches art to youth in Hawaii. Gaining her citizenship will help her catapult into art opportunities limited to citizens only. (Many prestigious art grants and fellowships are limited to US citizens or do not give non-citizens scholarships.)

It will also give her the security to live freely in the country she has called home since she was 3.

From LA to Hawai'i, Angaea has given back to every community she claims. Supporting her will not only allow her to flourish even more than she already has--it will also show her how important she is in all of our lives. The $3,000 goal will cover the applications, appointment and processing fees, and travel.
