Anette's loved ones have came together to create this account to raise money for the necessary treatments she needs during her battle with Diffuse Sclerosing Papillary Thyroid Cancer. Anette Lafaurie is your typical 20 year old who unforuntaley was recently diagnosed with cancer. Anette began treatment for Hypothroidism at 17 years old. In January 2017 she realized she was having unusual symptoms. That same week she went to the to doctor and had a biopsy done to later find out through a phone call that the results had came back " suspcious for cancer" just two weeks after she had surgery to remove her entire thyroid & a central neck dissection ( removing surrounding lymph nodes around the thyroid.)
At her Post Operation appointment the pathology results confirmed that it was Thyroid Cancer. Out of the 19 lymph nodes they removed 13 were found with cancer & her three parathyroids as well. Unfortunately the thyroid cancer she has is rare and aggressive. Her doctors said that this form of Cancer does not like to respond to treatment. Due to the cancer spreading to surrounding tissue she will have to have treatments done. On March 8th she will have her Isolated Radiation treatment done ( RAI). In between all the doctors appointments, treatments & surgery she has been taking a lot of time off of work & unforuntaly her insurance does not cover every procedure. Her medical bills have been piling up & her treatments are costly, this is the time for all of Anettes friends and family to come together and help out anyway you can.
