Anette's brain aneurysm recovery fund

A ruptured brain aneurysm is a life-threatening emergency that should never happened to anyone but unfortunately it happened to my great friend Anette Torres.
On November 1, 2020 at 10:00 PM Anette Torres called me and told me that she thought she just had a stroke. She stated her leg was weak and she was seeing flashes of light when she closed her eyes. She was speaking clearly and denied any chest pain or difficulty breathing. I arrived at her home about 5 minutes later and by that time her 13 year old daughter Lillian was already on the phone with 911. I found her 9 year old son Fabian crying unconsolably on the bedroom floor and Anette was on her bathroom floor vomiting. She was mumbling words and incoherent. No more than 10 to 15 minutes later, EMS arrived. Vital signs were normal and they did not find signs of a stroke but did find her pupils dilated which was very concerning. She was taken to Bay Area Hospital in Corpus Christi and then transferred to Spohn Shoreline Hospital for further treatment for a Ruptured Brain Aneurysm. On November 2, 2020 she underwent a coiling procedure to treat the aneurysm. The first procedure went well however she will require additional procedures and surgeries and it is foreseen that she will have a long difficult road to recovery.
Anette Torres is a 41 year old single Mother of 2 and works at Driscoll Children's Hospital as the Orthopaedic Surgery Scheduler. Anette is loved by so many because she is caring and intelligent. She is well known for her soft sweet voice. She is a hard worker and a great mother. She has had so many challenges and disappointments in her life but she lives her life the best way she can and focuses on her children's health and happiness.
My wish for this fundraiser would be to provide Anette and her children with support to be able to overcome this unexpected unfortunate situation. I want my friend to know that she is loved and that she is not battling this alone.
Anette's Mother, Lydia Kelley, is named as beneficiary to this campaign and will withdraw the funds on behave of Anette Torres. Funds raised will be used for bills, groceries, and care of Anette's 2 children.
