I have been afforded the opportunity to lead a group of Nurse Anesthetist Students to Honduras for a Surgical Mission trip. I have practiced as a CRNA throughout Arizona since 2015 and have been on mission trips myself. I strongly feel that giving back to communities in need, through anesthesia, is a rewarding experience second to none.
I am honored to now be able to guide a group of our future CRNAs on a trip to experience the beauty of mission work through the practice they have all been working so hard to master, these past few years. As they are current students, they are not able to work and are surviving off student loans. Unfortunately, the University is unable to support these students with mission work so they are required to pay for the trip on their own as well as make up the clinical time missed while on the mission.
If we could raise just $8000.00 we would be able to remove this extra financial burden each student has already volunteered to take on...or at least lessen it with whatever amount we can come up with. The trip is in March and flights need to be made, so ideally we could raise the funds in the next 4-6 weeks
The 6 students selected for the trip are bright and eager to be the best Anesthetists they can be. Affording them this opportunity will greatly benefit their education as well as our Medical Community by breeding the spirit of giving selflessly through anesthesia, in our future CRNAs.
Thank you for your time and for whatever you can contribute!
