Fight for Anela;
On the night of May 25th, Anela collapsed in her home and was taken by helicopter to the Hershey Medical Center.
Doctors discovered that she was born with an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM), which means that the blood vessels in her brain were tangled. Doctors performed emergency surgery when she arrived to alleviate the pressure from the bleeding in her brain.
At this time, Anela is still in the ICU. She has started to breathe again on her own, although even that is still a struggle. The medical team is unsure of what her recovery will look like, but we all know that she has a very long road ahead of her.
To know Anela is to love her. She is a kind, warm, and loving person who loves her family more than anything else. Anela and her husband Adib have two young children. Imran just turned 5 and will be starting kindergarten this fall, and Irma is just 7 months old.
